Impact sound is a particularly distinct and unpleasant type of sturcture-borne noise. Notably in stairways of multiple-family dwellings a lack of impact sound insulation may cause serious annoyances.
By elastic support using Impact Sound Insulation Elements type HTT with high-grade elastomer beds and by providing joint sheets type HTPL, concrete stair flights are acoustically separated from the surrounding structures. HALFEN sound insulation products are also optimally designed to meet the requirements of the impact sound protection.
